About us and how it all started

I am Ukrainian-Brazilian, born in Odessa, Ukraine, and naturalized in Bahia. My name, 'Oksana,' means 'a good hostess,' and this is how I discovered the joy of welcoming people and sharing my home. I am passionate about photography, art, yoga, and meditation. I display my photos and paintings in the house and offer yoga practices and active meditations when I am on-site. I love to travel and consider myself a virtual host. I am fluent in Russian, Portuguese, and English, and I have basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian. It will be a great pleasure to welcome you to our little paradise in the forest! Our team, from the gardener to the therapist, is built with love and dedication, creating a warm and harmonious environment.

Safe place

Guesthouses are located just 3.5 km from Praia do Forte, in a safe location and surrounded by the exuberant nature of the Aruá and Sapiranga Reserves. Surrounded by the native Atlantic Forest, they provide a conducive environment to breathe, meditate and rest, away from stress, noise and everyday pressures. It is the ideal place to enjoy the famous "Forest Bathing" and recharge your batteries.

About Our Neighborhood

Quintas do Castelo da Torre subdivision is a refuge from the noise of Praia do Forte. It is a residential neighborhood with lots of 5 thousand m² in a ZOR2 environmental preservation area. In this zone, deforestation of up to 30% and use of the area for construction of up to 10% is permitted. In this way, the houses are surrounded by native trees from the Atlantic Forest, ensuring an intimate connection with nature.

Our story

MY FIRST HOME

In 2008, I made the decision to leave the hustle and bustle of the village behind and founded my first house, which today has become Hospedaria Recanto dos Pássaros. Its unique location, between the Sapiranga and Arua Reserves, offers a setting immersed in the stunning nature of the native Atlantic Forest with giant trees, and just 3 km from the village of Praia do Forte.  Here, serenity is intertwined with birdsong, the trees dancing in the wind and the meditation provided by the rain on the leaves. The presence of animals, the occasional passage of a sloth, the sunset that penetrates the forest create the special atmosphere of this space. Visitors integrate with nature, breathe and meditate, reluctant to leave.

PLACE TO RECHARGE ENERGY

I decided to transform my home into a Zen Guesthouse, sharing this incredible place with those seeking true rest, connection with nature, peace, meditation, and a different kind of vacation, all near the beaches of Bahia's North Coast.
The next project in the Zen Space is the GaneshaForest Temple for yoga practices and holistic activities. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

ALQUIMIA HOSPEDARIA ZEN

In 2022, recognizing the success of Recanto dos Pássaros Guesthouse, we decided to create Alquimia ZEN Guesthouse, located just 200 meters from Recanto dos Pássaros, on the same street, Preguiça. Alquimia Guesthouse follows the same concept as ZEN Guesthouse, standing out for its connection with nature, peace, silence, and the beauty of the place as its primary attributes. A magical place!

It is a pleasure to welcome and serve you. We greatly value your presence, from the welcome letter sent by email to the itinerary with photos and presentation on your WhatsApp, in addition to each message left for you. Our team greatly appreciates the opportunity to help, keep the home smelling good and create a healthy environment.

We use high quality soaps and fabric softeners to wash bed linen and towels. We regularly clean the blankets and take meticulous care of the kitchen utensils.
